ARCHIVELET SETUP For Windows
============================

1. Uninstall any previous version of the archivelet.
   This can be simply done by deleteing the older version folder and the older shortcuts.

2. Download the Archivelet for Windows package (the file 'setup.exe') from the group site.


3. Double click the file 'setup.exe' you have just downloaded. This starts the installation.

4. Follow the instructions during the installation.

5. After successfully installing the archivelet, Start it.
   To start the archivelet you can do any of the following:
		- Find the 'kepler' shortcut on your 'Start' menu and click it,
		- Open the archivelet installation folder (usually something like "C:\Program Files\kepler" or 
		  "C:\Program Files\ODUCS\kepler") and double click the 'run' program,
		- Open a 'command' window (by opening the 'Start' menu, clicking 'Run', typing 'cmd', then
		  clicking 'OK'), change directory to the archivelet installation directory, then 
		  enter the following command: 'run',
		- Open a 'command' window (by opening the 'Start' menu, clicking 'Run', typing 'cmd', then
		  clicking 'OK'), change directory to the archivelet installation directory, then 
		  enter the following command: 'jre\bin\javaw.exe -cp . kepler/App'

6. After successfully starting the kepler archivelet, click the 'Settings' button to configure it.
   On the 'Settings' window, you can do the following
		- Register with the group. (you will need to enter the group 'SP URL', this URL can be found on the group home page)
		- Start/Stop the archivelet OAI server.
		- Configure the archivelet for NAT/Proxy traversal.
		- Edit the user profile (Name, Email, etc.).

How to uninstall the old kepler Archivelet?
-------------------------------------------
   To uninstall do the following:

   1. Go to 'Start/Settings/Control Panel', double click on 'Add/Remove Programs' item.
   2. From the 'Current installed programs' list, select 'kepler' item and click on 
      'Remove' button.
   3. Follow the instructions on screen, select the default settings and kepler will be
      uninstalled.
